Sharon Ostalecki, PhD | Executive Director
Sharon Ostalecki, Ph.D. is the founder and executive director of Helping Our Pain & Exhaustion, (H.O.P.E.) a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance knowledge and awareness of Fibromyalgia.
Dr. Ostalecki graduated from Eastern University with a Bachelors' of Science Degree in science and a Masters in physics. She holds a Ph.D. in nutrition and specializes in Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. Her practice is in Novi, Michigan. For the past 8 years Dr. Ostalecki has lectured internationally, and has written and published articles on Fibromyalgia. She authored the books: Fibromyalgia: The Complete Guide from Medical Experts and Patients (Jones & Bartlett, 2008), 100 Questions & Answers About Fibromyalgia (Jones & Bartlett, 2009) and is the Executive Producer of the documentary, Fibromyalgia: Fitting the Pieces Together, (Mort Crim Communications, Inc., 2008). For the past 20 years she has lived with Fibromyalgia, and brings her personal insights into her lectures and clinical practice.
Dr. Ostalecki is involved in many professional, community and outreach programs including: Advisory Committee on Pain and Symptom Management (ACPSM), Lansing, MI, Subcommittee member of the Governor's website on health awareness, Lansing, MI, and serves as an active member of the American Pain Foundation, MI Representative. She is an active member in the National Institute of Health-Council of Public Representative (COPR) Associates Program. In addition, she is the facilitator of the Fibromyalgia Support Group, located at William Beaumont Hospital.
Martin Tamler, M.D. | Medical Director
Martin S. Tamler, MD, FAAPMR, received his medical degree in 1988 from Indiana University, School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN. He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at, William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehab, American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Tamler has been recognized as a, TOP DOC, by HOUR Detroit Magazine as well as the Guide to America's Top Physicians (Consumers' Research Council), and has been listed in WHO'S WHO in Medicine and Health care. He has published in medical journals producing abstracts and book chapters. Dr. Tamler has received numerous recognitions for his involvement in the education of Fibromyalgia patients. He was the chief medical advisor for the documentary, Fibromyalgia: Fitting The Pieces Together, (Mort Crim, Communications, 2008) and is the medical director of, Helping Our Pain & Exhaustion (H.O.P.E.), a MI nonprofit organization, dedicated to Fibromyalgia awareness.
